Our lodge is located in the CUYABENO FAUNISTIC RESERVE, on the banks of the Laguna Grande. Cuyabeno is one of the seven flooded forests in the world that has an incomparable beauty and a great variety of flora and fauna unique in the World.
Siona Lodge has been built thinking of offering the best comfort, without altering the harmony and beauty that the Reserve offers us. The use of modern bio-digesters and solar panels allow us to practice a policy of low environmental impact.
The Lodge has 12 comfortable double rooms with private bathroom, hot water and balcony overlooking the Lagoon, with a capacity to accommodate up to 32 visitors with additional beds.
We have a large restaurant where guests enjoy our buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with local and international recipes, made with fresh products of the highest quality. We put at your disposal special menus for vegetarians, upon request.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: x lunch). Transfer until you reach the Cuyabeno Bridge for approximately 2 hours. Passport registration and embarkation in motorized canoes to navigate the Cuyabeno River until arriving at Siona Lodge, this exciting part of your trip will take 2 hours. Dinner. Optional night walk.
DAY 2: After breakfast, walk along the Palma Roja trail to see the great variety of species of both plants and animal life. You will observe the “Ceibo” tree, the largest tree found in the jungle, this activity will take approximately 4 hours. Lunch in the cabins will be followed by a walk in the Laguna Grande where there will be the opportunity to swim, piranha fishing and then the observation of the sunset. Dinner and accommodation.
DAY 3: Breakfast followed by a full day visit in Puerto Bolívar, the largest community of Siona in the region, to learn about their customs and way of life, demonstration and participation in the development of Casabe, typical dish of the elaborated region based on cassava. Visit and session with the Shaman. Return to the cabins. Farewell dinner. In the evening, departure by canoe to look for alligators. Accommodation.
DAY 4: Early in the morning breakfast and departure to Lago Agrio to take the flight back to Quito.

1. The entry tax to the Communities must pay directly in
the cash visit
2. It is mandatory to carry your original passport or identity card. Copies are not accepted by the authorities.

Excellent
It has been a great experience, both the organization and the quality/price ratio have been very good. Our coordinator, Pablo, was one of the group, advising us at all times and answering any questions. I feel like I've made the most of every minute I've been in Cuyabeno. I will repeat with another trip for sure!
